LIMITED LIFETIME PRODUCT WARRANTY
Lewis Built Performance warrants to the original purchaser that Lewis Built Performance manufactured products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product, subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions outlined below.
This Limited Lifetime Warranty applies only to products manufactured and sold by Lewis Built Performance and is valid for the original purchaser. The warranty is not transferable to subsequent owners.
WHAT IS COVERED
This warranty covers defects in the materials or workmanship of a Lewis Built Performance manufactured product that occur under normal intended use.
At its discretion, Lewis Built Performance may repair the defective product, replace the defective product or component, or provide an appropriate replacement part.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Cosmetic damage, including scratches, chips, dents, surface corrosion, or damage to finishes
- Damage caused by improper installation or installation contrary to provided instructions
- Damage caused by modifications, alterations, welding, drilling, cutting, or other changes to the product
- Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, racing, competition, or applications outside the product's intended use
- Damage resulting from accidents, collisions, rollovers, or other vehicle-related incidents
- Damage caused by improper maintenance or lack of routine inspection
- Damage caused by excessive loads or use beyond the product's intended application
- Damage resulting from suspension modifications or vehicle modifications not approved or manufactured by Lewis Built Performance
- Products that have been improperly installed, maintained, or repaired
- Products purchased from unauthorized sellers
- Products that have been resold or transferred from the original purchaser
THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS
Third-party parts and components are expressly excluded from this warranty.
This includes, but is not limited to, bearings, rod ends, Johnny Joints, bushings, air bags, shocks, hardware, fasteners, lighting products, and any other component that is not manufactured by Lewis Built Performance.
Any warranty claims involving third-party components must be directed to the original manufacturer of that component. Lewis Built Performance does not assume responsibility for the warranty, performance, failure, or replacement of third-party products.
Where Lewis Built Performance sells a product that incorporates third-party components, this Limited Lifetime Warranty applies only to the Lewis Built Performance-manufactured portion of the product, unless otherwise specifically stated in writing.
WARRANTY CLAIMS
To submit a warranty claim, the original purchaser must contact Lewis Built Performance and provide:
- Proof of purchase
- Product information and part number
- A description of the issue
- Photographs or videos showing the suspected defect, when requested
- Any additional information reasonably requested by Lewis Built Performance
Lewis Built Performance reserves the right to inspect the product before determining whether a warranty claim is approved.
The customer is responsible for removing and shipping the product to Lewis Built Performance when requested. Warranty replacement products or repaired products will be returned at the discretion of Lewis Built Performance.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Lewis Built Performance's liability under this warranty is limited solely to the repair or replacement of the defective Lewis Built Performance product or component.
Lewis Built Performance shall not be responsible for labor, installation or removal costs, vehicle downtime, towing, transportation, loss of use, inconvenience, or any incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or failure of a product.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, this Limited Lifetime Warranty is the exclusive warranty provided by Lewis Built Performance and is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied.
WARRANTY REQUIREMENTS
This warranty is contingent upon proper installation, intended use, and reasonable maintenance of the product. Customers are responsible for routinely inspecting suspension components, joints, fasteners, and other wear items for signs of damage or excessive wear.
Lewis Built Performance reserves the right to determine, in its reasonable discretion, whether a product failure is the result of a manufacturing defect covered under this warranty or an excluded condition.
Lewis Built Performance reserves the right to modify or update this warranty policy at any time. Warranty claims will be evaluated according to the warranty terms applicable at the time of purchase.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK & WAIVER
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE PURCHASING, INSTALLING, OR USING ANY LEWIS BUILT PERFORMANCE PRODUCT.
Lewis Built Performance manufactures and sells automotive performance, suspension, fabrication, lighting, bumper, mounting, and off-road products designed for use on motor vehicles. These products may be used in environments and applications that involve inherent risks, including but not limited to off-road driving, vehicle modification, high speeds, uneven terrain, impacts, collisions, mechanical failure, and property damage.
By purchasing, receiving, installing, using, modifying, or allowing another person to use a Lewis Built Performance product, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. ASSUMPTION OF RISK
I understand that modifying a motor vehicle and installing aftermarket automotive products can create additional risks that may not be present with a factory-equipped vehicle.
I voluntarily assume all risks associated with the purchase, installation, modification, and use of any Lewis Built Performance product, including but not limited to:
- Vehicle damage or failure
- Suspension, steering, braking, or drivetrain failure
- Loss of vehicle control
- Tire or wheel failure
- Collision or rollover
- Personal injury or death
- Damage to property
- Damage to the vehicle or other components
- Damage resulting from improper installation or use
- Damage resulting from modifications made to the product or vehicle
- Risks associated with off-road, racing, competition, or high-performance driving
- Risks resulting from use outside the product's intended application or specifications
I understand that off-road and performance driving can be inherently dangerous and that no aftermarket product can eliminate all risks associated with vehicle operation.
2. PROPER INSTALLATION AND USE
I agree that Lewis Built Performance products will be installed and used only by individuals who possess the appropriate knowledge, skill, tools, and experience to safely perform the installation and operate the vehicle.
I understand that certain products may require professional installation.
I agree to carefully inspect all products before installation and use and to verify that all mounting hardware, welds, fasteners, brackets, components, and related vehicle parts are properly installed, secured, and functioning.
I agree to follow all applicable installation instructions, warnings, specifications, and recommendations provided by Lewis Built Performance.
3. MODIFICATIONS
I understand that modifying a Lewis Built Performance product or the vehicle on which it is installed may alter the product's performance, strength, fitment, safety characteristics, or intended use.
Any cutting, drilling, welding, bending, grinding, modification, alteration, or other changes to a Lewis Built Performance product may void applicable warranties and may affect its safe operation.
Lewis Built Performance is not responsible for failures or damage resulting from unauthorized modifications, improper installation, misuse, abuse, neglect, or use outside the product's intended application.
4. OFF-ROAD, RACING & COMPETITION USE
I understand that Lewis Built Performance products may be used in off-road, high-performance, racing, competition, or other demanding environments.
I acknowledge that such activities involve substantial risks, including vehicle damage, serious bodily injury, disability, or death.
I voluntarily assume these risks and accept responsibility for determining whether my vehicle, equipment, driving ability, and Lewis Built Performance products are appropriate for the intended use.
5. RELEASE OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I release and hold harmless Lewis Built Performance, its owners, members, officers, employees, agents, representatives, contractors, manufacturers, distributors, and affiliates from claims, demands, damages, losses, costs, expenses, injuries, or liabilities arising from or related to my purchase, installation, modification, possession, or use of a Lewis Built Performance product, including claims arising from risks that I have expressly assumed under this agreement.
This release applies to claims involving property damage, vehicle damage, personal injury, or death to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Nothing in this agreement is intended to waive or release any liability that cannot legally be waived or released under applicable law.
6. INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE
I understand that aftermarket automotive components require periodic inspection and maintenance.
I agree to regularly inspect all Lewis Built Performance products and related vehicle components for signs of wear, damage, cracking, bending, corrosion, loose hardware, or other conditions that could affect safe operation.
If any product or related component appears damaged, defective, improperly installed, or unsafe, I agree to discontinue use immediately and have the vehicle and/or product inspected by a qualified professional.
7. COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS
I am solely responsible for determining whether the purchase, installation, modification, and use of any Lewis Built Performance product complies with all applicable federal, state, county, municipal, emissions, equipment, lighting, safety, registration, and other laws or regulations applicable to my vehicle and intended use.
Lewis Built Performance does not represent that every product is legal for every vehicle, jurisdiction, or intended use.
8. VEHICLE OWNER RESPONSIBILITY
I understand that the vehicle owner and operator are ultimately responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is safe to operate.
I acknowledge that aftermarket modifications may affect vehicle handling, suspension geometry, ride height, braking, steering, lighting, visibility, ground clearance, or other characteristics of the vehicle.
I agree to operate the vehicle responsibly and within conditions appropriate for the vehicle and its modifications.
9. NO GUARANTEE OF SAFETY
I understand that no Lewis Built Performance product is guaranteed to prevent accidents, damage, injury, or death.
The installation or use of an aftermarket product does not guarantee that the vehicle will remain safe under all operating conditions.
10. ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By purchasing, installing, receiving, or using a Lewis Built Performance product, I acknowledge that:
- I have read and understand this Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk & Waiver.
- I understand the risks associated with automotive modifications and off-road/performance use.
- I voluntarily assume those risks.
- I am responsible for proper installation, inspection, maintenance, and use of the product.
- I agree to use the product only for its intended purpose and within its stated limitations.
- I understand that improper installation, misuse, abuse, modification, or use outside the intended application may result in serious injury, death, or property damage.
- I agree to the release and waiver provisions contained in this document to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
